But as I was stopping by this post, I saw your wonderful, entertaining, real, funny comment and HAD to say--albeit so belatedly--that I would love to be a guest in your home anytime. And will you please come to mine sometime?Elizabeth Spencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14323422138353699587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9113701246699691315.post-47807633203644151612017-12-28T17:51:53.234-05:002017-12-28T17:51:53.234-05:00Aw, I love that idea! You want a drink? By all means, help yourself, and that cabinet over there - yes, the one next to the sink - that's where you'll find the glasses for your water, which is all we have to drink in the house. On the flip side, when it's time for you to leave (most likely because you're starving and all meals i in my home usually require a four-hour process to create, since I usually have to make all the ingredients first), I tell you not to worry about even trying to pick up any of the five bajillion items that your child and mine have strewn about while we ignored them to discuss the latest great new idea we have on ways to save money or some such nonsense, because I really would rather just put everything back away exactly as I had it, thank-you-very-much.Syncopated Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16284824722526828224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9113701246699691315.post-18750011269843226282015-07-09T08:13:06.086-04:002015-07-09T08:13:06.086-04:00Thank you so much, Jennifer! Here's to a day where no one shows up unexpectedly or, if they do, where we have grace to respond graciously! :)Elizabeth Spencerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14323422138353699587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9113701246699691315.post-60197936167036381832015-07-08T23:08:07.755-04:002015-07-08T23:08:07.755-04:00HA! I'm totally not self-absorbed but rather want my visitors to be comfortable and happy while they're in my home.

Loved this.
